About Our Pendants All of our memorial pendants are created with dichroic fused glass. Dichroic glass is a special type of glass with special reflective properties. The colors are brilliant and will produce different effects and colors, depending on the angle at which it is viewed. Each pendant is hand assembled using art and dichroic glass, and is kiln fired at least three times to achieve a smooth durable finish. The ashes of your pet or loved one are sprinkled within the pendant for permanence. Our pendants are available with a large gold or silver plated bail attached to the back, allowing you to wear the pendant with a chain of your choice. The bails are 3/8 inch tall, and will allow for a chain up to 3/16 inch in diameter. All pendants are also available without a bail, allowing them to be carried as a "lucky stone" in your pocket. The finished product will include a sprinkiing of your pet's or loved one's remains. Your pendant will appear slightly different when the ashes are added in. The shape will be slightly more rounded. Also, due to the composition of the ashes, there may be tiny bubbles in your pendant. Please CLICK HERE if you would like to see examples of finished pendants with ashes. By special request, we also have the ability to place your ashes hidden inside the pendant, or visible on the back side of the pendant. If you would like either of those two options, please send us an email note along with your order. Pendants can be made either with the remains of pets or people. All of our pendants are designed, assembled and fused by Lisa Rockoff in her home studio, using materials of the highest quality. Our goal has been to create items with a distinctive artistic design, superb craftsmanship and a unique personal touch. |
